Aluminum alloy for machining
7-swords offers several aluminum alloys in its long list of available manufacturing materials. Two of those alloys are especially well-suited material options for CNC machining, whether milling or turning: Aluminum 6061 and 7075.
Aluminum 6061: Benefits include low cost, versatility, excellent corrosion resistance, and superior appearance after anodizing.
Aluminum 7075: Benefits include high strength, hardness, low weight, corrosion resistance, and high heat tolerance.
Design Consideration for Milling:
When designing parts to be CNC milled, there are several tips to keep in mind:
(1)CNC milling machines are capable of precision so try to use this to your advantage
(2)Avoid deep pockets which are difficult to machine
(3)Sharp inside corners are often difficult so consider using a radius
(4)Apply chamfers to the top edges to reduce sharpness and improve appearance.
(5)Apply filters to the bottom of pockets to reduce the possibility of stress fractures if the component will be under stress.
(6)Thin walls and other flimsy shapes can be difficult to machine as they may not hold up against the pressure of the cutting action.
(7)Try to create shapes that do not have complex curves in more than one axis – as it may be difficult to hold during machining.

1. What is the payment terms? Do I pay first or after the items have been delivered?
The payment methods are T/T, Western Union and Alibaba trade assurance.
30% Deposit before production, the balance before delivery. (when we finish the products, we will send the digital photos from different angles for your confirmation. after you confirm, you can pay the balance,and we will deliver the goods).
2. How can I get a quote?
Detailed drawings (PDF/STEP/IGS/DWG...) with material, quantity and surface treatment information.
3. Can I get a quote without drawings?
Sure, we appreciate receiving your samples, pictures or drafts with detailed dimensions for an accurate quotation.
4. Will my drawings be divulged if you benefit?
No, we pay much attention to protecting our customers’ privacy of drawings, signing an NDA is also accepted if needed.
5. Can you provide samples before mass production?
Sure, a sample fee is needed, which will be returned when mass production is possible.
6. How about the lead time?
Generally, 2-3 days for the prototype sample, Mold time is 1-2 weeks for samples, and 1 week for mass production.
7. What will you do if we receive poor-quality parts?
