• Pad Heights And Slot Widths Re-Checked.The raised pads, the narrow side slot and the milled step are measured again once the part comes back from treatment, so coplanarity and slot width still gauge rather than being taken on trust.
• Tapped Holes And Dowel Holes From One Datum.The threaded holes and the smaller locating holes are positioned from the same reference as the pads, so pins and fasteners drop in without reaming or nudging the part during setup.
• Allowance Left Where Treatment Moves The Part.Where a face is critical, extra material is left before the part goes for treatment, so the final milled cut still cleans up to the drawing instead of finishing low.

Grade Selection & Certification Records

These parts are milled from 1Cr17Ni2 martensitic stainless steel (AISI 431 class), a grade chosen when a part needs corrosion resistance and a hardened working surface at the same time. 17-4PH and 420 stainless are also available where the drawing calls for a different balance. Every shipment includes CMM Dimensional Inspection Reports and Material Mill Certificates, and hardness records travel with the parts.
