What is the minimum input increment?
In the metric system, the smallest input increment in which offset can be entered is typically one micron (0.001 mm). In the imperial system, it is usually one-tenth of an inch (0.0001 inch). A micron is less than half one-ten thousandth of an inch (one micron is equivalent to 0.000039 inches), so the resolution is higher.
