1. Classification of turning milling composite tool rest
According to the processing method, it can be divided into two categories: one is the milling cutter holder, the other is the turning cutter holder and the milling cutter holder: this category is basically equivalent to the ordinary machining center. 2. Combined tool rest
The specific types of combined tool rest can be divided into two types: inclined type (45 °) and orthogonal type (90 °).
1. Inclined type: the cutting force is mainly along the axis of the tool holder, and the torque of bearing B is small, which is more favorable for the lathe spindle. Because of the 45 ° inclination angle, the overhang of the cutter bar can be reduced, and the interference between the spindle and the lathe chuck can be easily avoided. It is suitable for turning the end face and the outer circle of shorter or larger diameter workpieces
2. Orthogonal type: it is a general type, with rich left and right tool handles to choose from, and can also be used with ordinary turning tool bars and boring bars, suitable for most turning conditions. For the processing of long workpieces, it is also helpful to avoid disturbing the tailstock of the lathe.
