How does the splitter change with range changes?
A typical gear change will cause the tachometer needle to change the entire arc of the green segment, while operation of the decoupler will cause the rpm to change half of that segment. For this reason, it is often referred to as "half gear" and effectively doubles the number of gear choices available to the driver.
