Design Considerations for Creating Custom Molds Using Injection Molding

There are several design considerations that should be considered when creating custom tooling for injection molding.

Part geometry. The mold must be designed to produce the desired part shape, taking into account any undercuts or other features that may require additional tooling.

ejection system. The mold must include mechanisms for ejecting the part from the mold after it has been formed.
cooling system. Molds must be designed with cooling systems to regulate mold temperature and prevent warping or other defects.
ventilation system. The mold must include vents to allow any gas to escape during the molding process.
