Custom textures can be machined directly into the steel mold. Aluminum molds do not allow for the same amount of customization. In fact, steel molds have more surface finish options than aluminum molds. Steel can be polished to a high smoothness to create a smoother surface finish. Steel molds are also available in a variety of finish options including sandblasted, etched, matte finishes, leather textured, geometric and graphic.
