Induction heating: the workpiece is placed in the inductor. The inductor is generally a hollow copper tube that inputs medium frequency or high-frequency alternating current (300-300000 Hz or higher). The alternating magnetic field generates induced current of the same frequency in the workpiece. The induced current is uneven in the distribution of the workpiece. It is strong on the surface, but weak in the interior, and close to zero in the center. By using this skin effect, the surface of the workpiece can be rapidly heated, and the surface temperature rises to 800-1000 ℃ within a few seconds, while the temperature in the center rises very little.
